Heritage Museums & Gardens is located
on 100 acres of magnificent grounds
and trails on the banks of Shawme Pond
in Historic Sandwich. The gardens
feature internationally important
collections of rhododendrons, including
those created by Charles Dexter, who
did his ground-breaking plant hybridizing work here. Additional horticultural
areas of interest include a comprehensive collection of hydrangeas, a
collection of over 1,000 varieties of
daylilies, hostas, herb, heather gardens,
and more than a thousand varieties of
trees, shrubs and flowers along
beautiful and easily walked paths.
Hidden Hollow, a family-friendly
outdoor discovery area, is a place for
exploration of the outdoors and our
place in it. Furthermore, Heritage offers
three gallery buildings housing
permanent exhibits of world-class
automobiles, a working vintage
carousel, American folk art, and
featured special exhibitions.

JOHN F. KENNEDY HYANNIS
MUSEUM
John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum is a
multimedia experience dedicated to the
days JFK spent on Cape Cod - relaxing
with family, playing football with PT109
buddies and sailing on the ocean, a
pastime to which he was constantly
drawn. The museum features more than
80 photographs spanning the years
1934 to 1963 which are arranged in
thematic groupings to reflect John F.
Kennedy, his family, his friends and the
Cape Cod he so dearly loved.

THINGS TO DO
(MBL) is a private, nonprofit institution
and an affiliate of the University of
Chicago. MBL is a world-renowned
center for biological discovery and
training that is notably affiliated with
60 Nobel Prize winners. The laboratory
is dedicated to exploring fundamental
biology, understanding biodiversity
and the environment, and informing
the human condition through research
and education. To learn more, visit the

located at 100 Water Street in Woods
Hole. The MBL also offers free lectures
and other special events throughout
the year. Free tours are offered in the

NOBSKA LIGHTHOUSE
Nobska is one of Falmouth’s most
cherished and photographed locations. It
only takes a few minutes gazing across
the vista to develop a lifelong passion
for her iconic beauty and history. In
March 2016, the Town of Falmouth along
with the Friends of Nobska Light, Inc.
was awarded the bid with the duty of
renovating and maintaining the property
and creating a maritime museum within
the Keeper’s House. The Friends have
fully restored the Tower, completed
the rehabilitation of the Keeper’s
House and updated the site to conform
with accessibility standards. This season

org, shares climate change impacts and
resilience initiatives in the rotating exhibit
space at Nobska. Tours of the tower are
